About
Don Howell Joinery is a studio furniture maker in Red Hook Brooklyn.
We make artisan furniture inspired by traditional American crafts and forms for contemporary homes. Don Howell's background is in design, begining with a BFA from Parsons School of Design. Don Howell started his career in menswear design culminating as a Design Director for menswear maker John Varvatos. In 2011 he started designing and making furniture. Don Howell's latest exhibition at the 2018 Architectural Digest Design Show featured a variety of traditional American weaving techniques... a floating console table in White Oak which transitions from a solid surface into a basket weave, a contemporary White Oak armchair with a natural Rush seat and back and a piece in reclaimed Chestnut with a woven leather tier.
